Been running several weeks now. Minor nuisance has been the lack of Flags showing in Message list. Searched and found lots of tips about fixing 'missing' Flags and was about to tackle the "...delete the V3 file..." 'solution' today.
Decided to take one more roll of the dice and look at Mail's Help info. Strangely, this time I found the hint I never saw any where else: Control-click
any Column label and get a drop-down list of available columns/labels.
Not knowing what the
| ↑↓ | column does, I control-clicked that one and selected the "Flags" item. The OS decided I should have that column between the Read/Un-read and the "From" columns. Who set
that behavior as default?
That's OK by me and I think I can drag the column labels just about anywhere I want.
According to Mail/Help/Column View:
The Conversation, Status, and Subject columns are always shown.
Perhaps that up/down arrows label is for "Conversations". However, it also says:
Show the messages in a conversation: In the Conversation column, click the arrow ▶️.
Sorry, don't see an emoji for what appears in the Help text: a right-pointing arrow inside a circle. (Attached image below)
I assume "Status" refers to Read/Un-Read? "Subject" I think is ... the subject of the message?
I know there are lots of these control and option combos around. Wonder if someone has made a list of them? Probably have to break that list down by OS version.
