Strange warning from an update

A program tried to load new system extension(s) signed by “Kirill Luzanov”. If you want to enable these extensions, open Security & Privacy System Preferences.
I’ve found “Kirill Luzanov” on FaceBook (looks like a truck driver! Definitely Russian) and GitHub< Luzanov Kirill> .

Unfortunately, many of Apple’s ‘warnings’ are a bit short of useful info. Of course, I can't even find the exact name of the System Update. There were two items, one was for Safari 15. Does anyone using Big Sur still have an "Update Available" notification? :wallbash:

I declined to ‘allow’ "Kirill Luzanov” or his ‘program’ to load/install any “system extensions”. Thank you very much! But it wold be nice to know who/what/why I got the dialog. :wallbash: :dntknw: :coolio:

I just installed a device support and no alert. I did the Safari upgrade the other day and didn't receive the alert you posted.

Isn't Kirill associated with DriveDX?

Thanks, "Device Support", that rings a bell! Something I don't remember ever seeing before.

Never used that app. :dntknw: Only 'krill' I know of are tiny crustaceans feed giant whales!!
There might be something about (him) at FB. Not registered there any more. I also found his name mentioned back in Feb, 2016 concerning "SmartReporter" as being a possible part of "DriveDX". Don't have any of those apps installed that I know of. But that kext could have been a piece of some app I tested some time ago and only now gets 'noticed' by Apple's increasingly sensitive security functions!

Additional info: While scanning with a couple of security detection apps, I opened the Security & Privacy System Pref. Found some additional text at the bottom of the General tab: "System software from developer 'Krill Luzanov' was blocked from loading." An "Allow" button enabled. I assume that my negative response to that option earlier today created the extra text in that pref.

Edit: Turns out I did have Drive Dx installed. Opened it and got a message that I had 4 more runs of the app from my Trial install back in Feb 2019. Apparently, I did not find the app needed and I have now deleted it. It would have been much more helpful if the dialog and/or the Security & Privacy would have mentioned the name of the app rather than the dev's name. :coolio:
