OS10.14.3 to 14.6?
« on: March 01, 2022, 10:13:37 AM »
I have a 2017 27" iMac with OS10.14.3. I cannot go to 10.15 or I lose my ability to use Adobe CS6 apps. I will not use their Creative Cloud subscription. My Mac Book Pro is at 10.14.6.
When I called Apple for help for any kind, they always want me to upgrade to the latest OS.

Something came up the other day the day that said I need 10.14.6 on my iMac to be able to use that.
How to update the OS once more?  I am wary of any update/upgrade that will take it to 10.15+.

What was/is the "that"? :dntknw:

This Apple Support page has links to hardware requirements for OS 10.14.x and 6 other OS versions.

For 10.14.x (Mojave):

Sorry for lack of clarity...
Something came up the other day the day that said I need 10.14.6 on my iMac to be able to use that website(?), I think. I'll have to find it again.
I just need to update from 10.14.3 to 10.14.6. That will match my other 2 devices.

Is this OK to download from here?:

The only time I can imagine a website telling you that you needed a specific OS is it was for downloading an application that needed a specific OS to operate. A website is nothing but html (which is actually plain text) with perhaps some scripting languages like javascript. It shouldn't/couldn't care less what OS you have installed. Which browser you use may be important, but not your OS.

The site you linked is the correct Apple Support site in Canada. Aa always make sure you have bootable and usable backups of your current OS before updating.

I always alternate back ups on two EHDs using Super Duper.

Is this OK to download from here?:
https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2010?locale=en_CACan I use that link to update OS10.14.3 to  10.14.6?

I think that's the last update I can do and still use my Adobe CS6 apps.
I just don't want to do something that will mess that up.
