Willie Mays, quite possibly the greatest player of all time. I had the privilege of seeing him play in the old Polo Grounds in New York. Despite being a Brooklyn Dodger fan (and loyal to Duke Snider, the Dodgers superlative center fielder), I could appreciate Mays' skills and, despite the center fielder rivalry (at least among New York baseball fans) of Mays, Snider, and Mickey Mantle, I considered Mays to be the best. RIP Willie.
