rolleyes.gif They Said it Couldn't Be Done!

Hello All,
I am happy to say that with the help of my Mentor, RHPConsult
I am now up and running on Netscape.

Nothing could make me happier than having a little success
to bolster my spirits.  It was fairly quick and simple to do
All in all, pretty painless.

Of course, there are some things that will have to be
added a bit later; but after all the grousing I did last night, I thought I would like to share this happiness with
you TS members.

I am looking forward to being back at TS more regularly.
To those of you who have sent me email at my Cox Address
over the last week, please accept my apologies if your mail went unanswered (it is probably in email Heaven).  Please
try again, and that way we'll both know if it is working.

Oh, yes . . . to anyone out there enjoying Cox-Cable broadband.

MrsLop had a sizeable chunk of difficulty getting someone at Cox who was a good listener and similarly inclined to be helpful re: Macs.

Do you (the Cox-Macster) have any advice, should she need to contact them again, as to how to get to a Mac-centric Techie in their  possibly ponderous bureaucracy?

I'm sure Myrna would appreciate any suggestions.

Yes, indeedy.
Why? 'Cause it's:
  • easier for her to use, combining browser and e-mail client in one neat packsge
  • and sure-as-heck was easier than trying to make sense of the multiple, say half dozen, copies of IE and OE that Cox Techies (in their <infinite wisdom had her repeatedly download)
  • after saying (I am not making this up!) that NS wouldn't work  on Cox (Translation = we don't know nuthin' about it)
So now she's up-and-running. Plenty of time in the future to learn about the other browsers, when you're connected with an olde standby.

Evening Harv,

blush-anim-cl.gif  Please, don't throw any bouquets at my feet - at least not yet!

I have not yet learned to "Navigate" the "Navigator".

I am using v4.79.

I will let you know if I run into any difficulties.

Well Dick... my ISP, Shaw cable claims not to support NS anymore either... but I've always managed to convince them that I was NOT switching to IE... of course they don't support Opera either, we usually manage to come to an agreement that gets my problem fixed after I tell them I'll just go switch to another "less fussy" ISP. The problem is generally not browser related... for those sort of things I find it's better to come here... smile.gif

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

smile.gif Good Morning Gregg,

Have you seen my topic on "Adventures in Browsers"

I wonder if I should take a poll and find out how many browsers TS members have and how they do it?
