Netscape's help section on preserving your profile is written for the "other" platform, but can be translated.

Don't do as I have done previously, and Create New and drag the various components. The new will NOT recognize the old that way. One must use the Profile Migration.
I also found it much easier to install a new Netscape rather than copying the old. There are various components that referenced the old hard drive and no easy way to change the reference. One thing (and major to my OS!) was the XPI Cleanup alias that is in System>Startup Items. On the iMac there was a dialog box saying the app couldn't be found. On the 6400, it causes a freeze if it can't be found. Downloading a new installer at the very beginning would've saved me two or more hours.
Of course, reading the instructions would've helped immensely also!
