OT - we outside the US still remember

Firefighters in Coventry and Warwickshire are holding one-minute silences for their fallen brothers and a short prayers-for-peace session is being held at lunchtime in the ruins of Coventry Cathedral (bombed by the Nazis when they blitzed the city).
Coventry has its own
story
while BBC web magazine runs a tributes
feature
with links to associated stories.
Our thoughts are still with relatives of those who died.

Wow, I was just stopping by to make a quick post about today. Thanks so much for the thoughts.
It's very strange here in Philadelphia--the weather is identical to the way it was 2 years ago--absolutely beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky. Hearing the radio rebroadcasts a few minutes ago was pretty intense. Just had an email conversation with a good friend who lost somebody close in the towers. It sure doesn't feel like it's been two years ago. More like two hours.
And I will never forget the friendship at TS that those of us in the U.S. felt from those of you all around the world.

I cried and felt sick when i heard about the attacks.....
i still cry and feel terrible for what is happening in the world.
My deepest sympathy for all the families on this world who lost family, relatives and/or friends to some sort of violence they didn't had anything to do with.
this is where my heart goes to.

Rob, I thought the same thing, that the weather is exactly the same (I'm in NYC).
Thanks, Highmac, Mrious.
Dan
btw, I was sitting at this very same computer when I saw the news on techsurvivors and then yahoo.

I remember two or three of us posting here at TS almost at the same time that morning about WTC.
A lot happened that day and many days afterwards personally let alone the entire world.
I played substitute boss/owner for a friends company {which I was way over my head .. btw) so the owner/boss could get to New York one way or another. He had relatives and friends involved in the WTC.
Highmac/MB thank you for your kind thoughts.
Wonder if it would be appropriate to pull up the archives [if they're still around] from that day and the days that followed?

Heart rendering
Bill
I hope we remember the lessons of the tragedy, that extremists of any sort are the bane of a free and just society.
