I haven't even taken it out of the styrofoam...

Better keep your eye on that packing, you never know ...

Welcome back Lorraine! biggrin.gif And with a shiny new toy, too...they ARE nice, aren't they? I've had my 800 MHz Ti for over a year now, but it is still a wonderful thing. Even if the short people in the family have taken to using it for Heroes of Might and Magic IV because it flat out refused to install on son #1's G3 (Mom hasn't had time to fix that yet dry.gif )

Agree 110% on the Office X purchase - and there is a new version of Office X, which appeared in the last month or so. I still haven't been able to figure out what's significantly different or improved (other than the addition of MS Exchange stuff to Entourage - about time!), although the student and teacher edition will apparently allow up to 3 installations in the same household, which is a definite improvement over the last version...

Also, the "Professional" edition of Office X now comes with Virtual PC 6.1 - but of course, teachers and students aren't supposed to need that, so it doesn't come with an ed discount. wacko.gif

Yaaah, Krissy, don't make me paranoid!!
Kelly, both:  My husband is principal of a therapeutic day school and he is eligible for the discount... But we are also paying tuition... and paying... and paying... and (etc.)

The deal you linked to is just what I need, although the $99. offer is gone, but the $124.99 with free shipping is still a better deal than at the store.

Bill, it's a Powerbook G4 15".  Well, I've taken it out of the styrofoam now (but not throwing it away!) and have placed it in my Incase... okay, still in the plastic wrap, though!  But I'm making progress!

Thank you everyone & all for your terrific greetings, good wishes, and great advice!!

Read some time back on a board that the poster/author of a new (one week) PB let his/her kid play with the PB while eating a chocolate sunday. The kid apparently loved too touch the screen a lot. Need I go further.?. smile.gif

Yes.  Filicide.  Justifiable.
