I have Cox High Speed Internet for a provider. I have no problem using the Main Identity to retrieve my webmail using Cox. I established a Main Identity a long time ago using Outlook Express.
My problem is that I cannot get Outlook Express to do anything but add a name to the startup list for Outlook.
My main ID on Outllook works just fine. I just don't know why I can't add new accounts to Outlook that matches whatever Cox has, so that I can retrieve mail and utilize the other Identities that are set up at Cox.
Do I need to delete all the old Cox ID's for my account first and start over again? According to Cox I can add up to six more ID's.
I have deleted everything from Outlook Express and gone into the MS ID folder and OE folder and removed the other ID's and tried to add the names again but it just gives me an error message that the server cannot be found.
Just as some background on this, I had Cox and set up Outlook back on the 23rd of July. I have been unable to get Outlook to work since then. The supposed Mac Tech Support told me to do another download of Outlook, then another , then another. I decided to try Netscape with Communicator 4.79, then Netscape 7? but the system would often hang.
Fianlly, I just decided to try to go back to IE and Outlook and give it another try. Though IE 5.1.7 often hangs, OE seems to be working except for adding additional acount names.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to advise me on this.
