To the maker of the banner....I work for Owens Corning who uses the Pink Panther as their trademark.  I see this guy everyday...and have him on my desktop as the icon for my hard drive. NICE work...I like it. thanx.gif  WOW.gif

Oh man, was  I  sweatingbullets.gif after reading the first line of your post.

I thought you were informing us of a trademark infringement and going to turn me in.

Great banner..... and fast however - it's too fast on the iMac (IE5). The cycle is so quick you can't read the greeting (only found out what it said on my office PC (also IE) which is so slow it almost spells it out letter by letter biggrin.gif ).

So how do I get my iMac to slow it down?  whistling.gif

Hmmm, don't know if you can slow it down from your end. I know the processor has an impact on the speed of the animation but I set each frame for particular time settings and the final frame is supposed to hold at 2.5 seconds before repeating the loop. I've checked on my machine and it seems to hold for about that length. The entire animation is between 5-6 seconds. I suppose the graphics card, internet connection and system used may also have an impact

This would be an interesting poll to take to find out just what effect each has on an animation.

OK - at work now.... on slow PC with high-speed link, entire animation is indeed about six seconds. Since the iMac is 12 miles away I can't make instant comparisons, but from my (way less than perfect!!) memory, on the iMac (dial-up) I got the fuse 'burning' very quickly and the "explosion" but no greeting before the animation went back to the fuse. Hope this info is of some help.

I'll take another look at it this evening and double-check.

It's still a grrrrreat animation though thanx.gif

Thanks for the input.

You got me thinking and I posted a thread to ask others what they saw and what effect their hardware or connection may have. I think it is important to know how others are receiving these things. I don't want to drive people crazy.

Funny, when I saw the post you just made above, I was thinking "What is HighMac doing up and on TS at this hour?"

Then I realized of course that you are many hours ahead of us here.  doh.gif

The question then becomes "What am I doing up and on TS at this hour?"

Good night Gracie...er, morning.    unsure.gif

Krissel, I had exactly the same reaction as you when I read dolphin's post.  eek2.gif

I work with attorneys, some of whom are in Intellectual Property, and that's exactly the way they begin a copyright infringement letter!  No kidding!   police.gif

I wasn't smiling until I got to dolphin's second line.  (I don't guess you were, either.)  smile.gif

Krissel and Russ Kidd, just thought I'd let you know that Owens Corning pays MGM for the right to use the Pink Panther. Not sure what it costs them annually, but I'm sure it's not real cheap.

Thanks again Krissel! thanx.gif
