\'Sleep\' won\'t wake up and what is Virtual Truck?
« on: March 01, 2003, 06:02:00 PM »
iMacG3, OS 9.1, 233mz. 160MB memory

It's no big deal for me but just wondering why, when I put it to sleep, it won't stat when I touch the keyboard.

I  ran DiskDoctor, zapped, rebuilt, and now I'm getting a message saying Virtual Truck is a missing extension.  Just guessing, is it a sign that it's getting near time for a battery replacement?

Fiona. Virtual truck must be a misprint. Never heard of such a thing.

Have you reset your Energy Saver Preferences in the Energy Saver Control Panel?

Search here under imac and see what you come up with.

Yes!!  All I had to do was unplug the keyboard from the iMac, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in.      Thanks, Kelly. You are a storehouse of information.

As for Virtual Truck, I checked in Sherlock and it came up  in 'File' as an alias for my DSL. I had to reinstall it this morning to get rid of the window that was asking me at startup to insert the DSL CD.  I dragged it to the  trash.

P.S. It was a startup item. Good riddance.
