I notice that even when I have all my apps quit, my Powerbook drive (new) rythmically churning away every 10 seconds or so in OS X. Is there something the drive is accessing every so often? I know there are lots of background processes going on in OS X. Whould I quit one at a time and see what the drive is working away at when the machine is idle?
