CBS interview/"Apple picking season"
« on: October 09, 2003, 05:38:50 AM »
For those who are up at the wee hours of the night/morning and tuned to the CBS overnight news, you might have seen the great interview with "Digital Dan" of gizmorama.com.

They showed samples of the G5 tower, Powerbooks, iPods, Cinema display and a demo of iChat.

Dan mentioned the 9 fans in the G5 needed because of the power,  "many times more powerful than comparable Wintel machines".

He held up the 15" PB pointing out the lighted keyboard and self-dimming screen. He also noted the 12" size which I think he called "slick" and the 17 "monster"of which he said, "Too big for me, but those who have them, love them."

Then came the iSight and iChat demo on a 23" Cinema display using one of the producers in the studio. As the prices were mentioned, the interviewer talked about the fact that Apple products are usually a bit more expensive than others. To which Dan replied that the fact that they are nearly problem free and you can do so much more makes them worth the price.

He ended by extolling that the Apple experience is a "marvelous experience".
