Does DiskWarrior 3 work with 10.2.8?

I was reading over at the Apple forums that some people are having trouble with booting from the CD after updating.

While I'm at it, how about Lables X and Trash X?

I think Harv turned me on to Lables X. I like it.

It looks like the Lables for Panther are completely different colors than the old ones.

Gary, I know DW works with 10.2.8 (I just tried it), but I don't know that it can startup the new G5s---yet.

Labels X still works just fine, Trash X- I dunno, but I have not seen reports of problems with it.

Labels X should not be needed with Panther, but whether that specifically means it will conflict with Panther, again, I dunno.

As I understand it, Unsanity's APE applications will not yet work with Panther.

Thanks Harv.

Maybe I'll upgrade to 10.2.8. Do you suggest downloading the combo updater instead of going through the software update panel?

Gary, FWIW:

In theory, if your system is in perfect shape, there is no official reason why one should need the Combo updater. That said, if you have a high-speed access, there is no reason not to use the combo updater. The extra few minutes are probably worth the peace of mind, and, it may fix something you were unaware of.

BTW, you can install the combo updater over the System Preference SW updater without problem.

Gary,

I did the Software Update to OS 10.2.8 and it caused some minor problems with applications quitting.

I downloaded and installed the Combo Update and everything is running better.

Check your disk and reapir Permissions before and after updating. Can save headaches.

I'm still using OSX.2.4. Is there any obvious performance benefits to warrant moving up to OSX.2.8? (It's about a 97mb download using the combo update.) If it improves basic stuff--speed, printing, etc., maybe I'll make the move. (Nothing like a quick 97mb download to keep you up until the middle of the night. biggrin.gif)

A couple of IMacs, an iPad, a bunch of iPhones...two of which don’t live here, but I still pay for. Oh yeah, wife, daughters, and yes—a grandson!

I can't seem to locate the Combo update at the Apple site. All I can find is the 40mb D/L. huh.gif
