Here's a few tips that might be useful getting started with Panther.
1. If you have problems setting up the network and don't recognize the new layout, click the little button under the huge window and you get all the settings for Ethernet, PPoPE or whatever they are all called.
2. If you do a search and have an iDisk, you might want to turn it off in the Finder windows since that really slow things down when it wants to mount the iDisk and do a search there too. You can set what disks etc that should show up in the explorer window (couldn't find a better word for it) by doing changes in the Finder Preferences.
3. Exposé is cool, if you don't want to set "hot corners" just use F9, F10 and F11 instead.
4. If you have more than one user on your machine and want that cool effect with the annimated cube switching between the users, you need to click on the "house icon" in the settings for Accounts (it's in the bottom of the list of users) and you get a window to enable that quick switch.
5. The switch between open programs have been replaced so it's a lot cooler than before, so try out cmd-tab and see the cool effect to change application, keep hitting the tab until you find the program you want to go to.
