Don't forget to go to My Controls>Board Settings and uNcheck the box to the right of "Is daylight savings time in effect?" if you are in the 1/2 of the world that switched back.
Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

kelly, how's that? I'm using OS 9.2.2 and I don't think it changes. (I forgot about that one!) I know my Mac running OS 7.5.3 does not change. (I got that one.) There are so many devices with timepieces.

I also have:
kitchen clock (battery)
range clock
microwave clock (one room down)
alarm clocks (three of them)
VCR clocks (two)
FAX machine
Automobiles (three)
light timer (manual - one in use now, another for Xmas lights soon)
switch timers (two - for outside lights)
thermostat (automated adjustments)
temperature and humidity gauge (just purchased)
wrist watches (two for me, three others in household)

Anybody out there with another timed device?

Are they all in sync within one minute???

. . . here are some more, Gregg.

• 5 desk phones with LCD panels
• Grandfather's clock
• Lawn sprinkler's control panel (probably not a Midwest item????)
• Fax machine's ID setting
• Handspring's time
• Travel clock/radio
• "Shirtpocket" digital recorder

Only the Macs (3 - 1 ea w/8.6, 2 ea w/10.2.6), the Comcast cable boxes (2), and our cell phones are "done" by forces mysterious . . . unseen, but appreciated

Of course they're all in sync . . . how about < 2 secs. You think we're not compulsive out here?! Devilish2.gif

My VCR changes on its own...I do not understand how it knows what time zone its in. I did nothing when I bought it, but plug it in. It was right from the start. It is very convenient though. smile.gif

Roy, my VCR is supposed to pick up a signal from my local PBS station that sets the time and date. I've never been patient enough to wait to see if it would finally work. But, I have to push some buttons to make the attempt, it doesn't try to do it on its own.

P.S. I opened my Date & Time panel last night and set it to automatically monitor Daylight Savings Time. Why I didn't do that before is no mystery. I was used to not having it change on its own with previous versions.
