Mariner Write v 3.5.1

If there's been a recent mention 'round these parts of the neatest WP app around (IMHO), I've missed it.

Airbusdriver recommended it to me, enthusiastically, many months ago when I was lamenting the demise of WordPerfect.

It seemed to be . . .uhmmmm . . . OK. at first, but showed some squirreliness over time on my Pismo w/ OSX. So I moved on, so to speak.

However, I've just installed v. 3.5.1 and it seems to have been updated QUITE elegantly  and successfully.

So, if you're interested in looking for MacWrite on Steroids, I suggest giving it a try. No bloat, No smothering your HD, just a neat and clean (and intuitive, fergodsakes) package for dealing promptly and efficiently with the King's English, and maybe other varieties as well.

Funny you should mention MW today. I had a Word .doc file that I dropped on my new (3.0.1) icWord icon. It didn't recognize it! First time I'd seen that. Just for fun, I dropped on the MarinerWrite icon...opened just fine! ;-)

To be fair, I tried icWord again and it opened the file normally (I maybe didn't hold my mouth just right the first time!). Both are fine programs (both have OS X versions, BTW). If all I want to do is read/view a .doc I use icWord...

Anyway, good to hear you're another satisfied customer for Mariner...
