Sounds more like a way for companies to get my address! Am I paranoid or what?! But you know what they say, "Even paranoid people have enemies!" And I'm always a little careful when MS 'joins' forces with anybody!

Would be interesting to see how this would affect individual users/mailers. There certainly is very little consistency in today's methods of detection. I think they may be on the right track in making originating addresses harder to spoof. Perhaps the ISP's could simply add that info when a message reaches it's server for transmittal instead of having it created by the user?

Guess we don't have to worry about any speeders on this road!

I will be glad to see something happen on this front; my telephone has gone very quiet since the "Don't call" list went into effect.  I had figured THAT was a lost cause, too, but it's proving me wrong! I've used the "rules" in mail, to delete most of my email junk, but the spammers keep finding ways around it, and I almost always get 1 or 2 pieces of spam a day.  It's really not a big deal, but then, I'm not paying/getting paid for my time on the web!  If I was a business, I guess I'd be bummed!
