Backup software for Jaguar
« on: November 05, 2003, 03:29:20 PM »
While I liked the look and feel of Yellow Dog Linux, I was unable to continue using it since my CDs apparently went by the wayside and we needed to install a larger drive in this blueberry.

Needless to say, after installing an 80GB Barracuda (5GB for 9.2.1 and the rest for Jag), we have Samba up and running and have successfully connected file shares for the Windows clients on our LAN.

That said, I was wondering what you all would suggest in the way of a good backup utility for Jag that will pull the actual file copies and sync them from remote boxes (not catalog backup files - I need to originals intact) so that we can backup to this Jag box?

Free would be fantastic since we have NO IT budget - in fact, my job's going bye-bye Dec. 31 sad.gif

Hope that was clearer than mud.

Take care, all.

Chris

Both Tri-BACKUP

and

FoldersSynchronizer

work very well.
