Weird problem.
I'm still a newbie to OS X and so to this machine (dual 1.2).
Running 10.2.8.
Running FAP 1.3.1.
My first attempt at using FAP somehow got my fonts managed, but not "optimized".
After a week or so I was looking at the features of FAP and selected to have it "optimize" all the fonts.
I elected to have it move all the fonts, not copy them.
What it did was very cool. Created a fonts folder with sub folders labeled by alphabet. It organized my fonts by placing them by name in the appropriate folders. It also created a "bad fonts" folder that had suitcases with missing printer fonts and/or duplicates.
What I discovered later was that the "optimized fonts" would not print in Quark.
That is, no pages would print. If I was quick enough, I could see that a print job was in the 'Print Center", but it would appear briefly and then disappear.
Printing from Office X was OK, as welll as other applications.
Calls to FAP have gone unanswered.
Right now I'm running a demo of Suitcase. Funny thing is that the optimized fonts (by FAP) don't work in the same way when opened in Suitcaser! I had to re-copy my fonts from my old OS 9 backup disk. Which works fine now.
Any help would be appreciated!
