scrolling goes too far
« on: November 11, 2003, 08:14:00 AM »
maybe it's not scrolling.... when I click in the scroll bar, it now jumps a whole page, instead of a bit of a page.  I've got to pay attention to where the cursor is in the scroll bar!

I can't remember if it's a Netscape preference or a system preference. huh.gif

OS 10.2.8, Cube/500 with the pretty clear acrylic with black interior mouse.

Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

Go to "System Preferences"/ "General" and check "Click in the scroll bar", "Scroll to here".

I just work with the arrows Jennie. Helps if they're in the same spot. <gr>

OH Yeah.
The keyboard up/down arrows also, except some sites they won't work.

Aside from DropDrawers, CopyPaste and GoMac which have X versions or similar, two third party apps I couldn't live without in 9 are Scrollability and SnapTo.

Scrollability is usable in Classic but I just found out there is a native X app that does the same.

Don't think there is a X replacement for SnapTo yet.  unsure.gif
