Most of the time these online voting events only let you vote once and either track your IP number or put a cookie on your computer to stop you from a second vote.
However, this one doesn't. I voted several times in IE and several more in iCab. Each one thanked me for my vote. At first I deleted the cookies from cbs to see if I could vote a second time and then just tried it without bothering with the cookies and it still worked.
So how accurate could this be? What a joke that TV program will be knowing that the vote could be heavily stacked.
Disclaimer: My intent was not to unduly influence the outcome of an obviously inconsequential survey but to investigate the technological aspects of said poll.
