Disabling/enabling Safari cache
« on: February 03, 2004, 05:46:43 PM »
I have long used Safari Enhancer to disable the cache, but now I am curious; in Safari 1.2, should the cache be enabled even with a high speed Internet connection (currently over 3.3 Mbps)?

Thanks. . .

Don

I think having the cache enabled is still a good idea. Many web pages these days take the stance that everyone should have broadband, so they pack the sites with images, flash, and ads. All of this stuff will add up to quite a bit of data.

Even with a 3.3 Mbps connection, your hard drive will transfer the data to the browser much faster, resulting in faster surfing.

My verdict: re-enable the cache.  B)
