Having an ISDN line, I have recently purchased Hermstedt WebShuttle II which I was assured would work with OS 10.2.   Despite re-checking all configs, just can't get it to connect, though no problems at all with the internal modem.   Apple Higher Level phone help can't solve it despite many suggestions.   Nor can I get sense out of the Hermstedt website.   Anyone out there have any clues?

Not a clue, didn't even know what it was until I ran a google search.    

However, the German site has posted new OS X drivers. Maybe your modem shipped with older ones?

"I have finally discovered the cause of the problem. I'm using a Hermstedt Webshuttle ADSL modem with my G3 (Lombard) PowerBook. If I have any other USB devices plugged in (whether a hub or just a mouse), the connection is useless. Moments after I unplug the other device, the modem works correctly. I didn't have any problems with the modem when using OS 10.1.x. I'm using the latest drivers for the modem (CD7).

I've emailed Hermstedt twice over past weeks about the problem (before I knew the cause) but received no reply - despite a call to their 50p/minute phone line resulting in them telling me they'd got my email and were looking into it. "

kps & kelly   Thanks for replies.   kps, I have the latest WebShuttle ll and have also downloaded the Hermstedt driver update, but no joy.

kelly, I tried your wheeze of disconnecting everything else from the USB hub, but still no good.   I even tried connecting the shuttle directly to the computer, but still got the same old message "No carrier detected".

I've reported the problem to Hermstedt via their website, but no response.   I've also tried phoning the number they give for phone-help, but would you believe it's unobtainable!

I'm considering returning the darned thing to the reseller.
But does anyone know of an ISDN card that really works with 10.2?

What to do?
