I hate to show my ignorance (not that it's possible to hide it) but is Pismo a separate brand, or is it an Apple product?

Sounds like it is a good deal -- I would buy a Pismo for $6-800, if it will allow me to do the same as iMovie?  (I don't have iMovie yet, but  I think I would want it on my next Mac).

There was a string about eBay, though, and I am personally very leery about buying a computer off eBay, escrow or not.

It's a regular Apple Laptop Lorraine.

Pismo is like a Nickname.

I think Apple probably calls it the PowerBook (FireWire).

Yes. That would be a step up from what you have for movie editing.

You could use iMovie and it's Firewire connection.

I'll bet there's a lot of them in the Chicago area.

Thanks!  I'll take a look at eBay, but I don't know, I'm really anti-computer purchase on eBay.  I don't mind buying it over the Internet from a reliable source, like lowendmac or OWC, if they sell used/refurbished Macs.  But, I'll take a look at eBay.  You have yet to steer me wrong, Mr. Kelly man.

There's others.

It may be usefull to compare prices.

Online site may be more expensive, but also may be more reliable.
