Printing Booklets
« on: February 05, 2003, 10:52:00 PM »
I used to print with a program called Clickbook that let you create just about any format you wanted. I love to create little booklets of long documents that easily fit into my shirt pocket. It would print 4 pages on a sheet in the portrait format, then when finished with all the front sides tell you to flip it over to print the other side. All you had to do then was cut the sheet in half and staple all the halves together in the middle. They stopped supporting the Mac after OS 8.

My Canon printer allows some versatility but no booklets are available, or at least I haven't figured out how to coax them out.

Now, for the million dollar question. Is there anything like this available today on OS X?

Don't know if there is anything similar for OS X, but Clickbooks supposedly works in 9.2, would that do?

Well, it did work once in 9.1 with ClarisWorks but I haven't been able to get it to work in 9.2 with Appleworks 6. It may have been the upgrade to AppleWorks that broke it but now all my work has been upgraded and I don't know if I can go back.

Try putting AW6 on your X partition and AW5 on your 9.2. partition.

Maybe, just maybe, the twain won't meet?
