Don't know. Never liked TextEdit much.
Always used BBEdit. For HTML editing and for .txt files. For everything else I have Word.

I must confess, though, that I didn't know TextEdit was able to toggle between HTML code and the actually displayed website. But then again, I don't need such feature as I use BBEdit for coding and a web browser for preview.
