Sandbox...

You're right...I think I corrupted my System file. TechTool gave my system a "failed". Went to reinstall and couldn't find my disk. I think my $&@#!! brother has it.

Just bought 9.2.1 on eBay with "Buy it Now" . I'll have the seller ship via overnight (I hope) and mabe we can end this thread with a WHEEW! thanks to all of you.

Gary S...you da man.

Snuffy,

Does the computer boot from the TwinTurbo and the on board video now, with the 2 monitors hooked up?

It's snowing and blowing here too.

I wonder how things are on the bluff?

I hope snuffy gets that card going.

Boots fine, Gary. Big monitor on the left and color corrected to match my printer's output as close as possible...pretty close actually. All the tools are on the smaller monitor.

Always seemed to me that doing art on one monitor is like doing art on the drawing table with the bottle of ink always in the way.

They say a possible 6 inches of snow here sunday...

Haven't I suffered enough?

Looks like a week before I can get my OS9.2.1. Oh well...things seem to be going fine except for a slow left monitor and a few system quirks.

Loved your movies, "Bernie".

S'okay Snuffy... I only get offended when someone insists that I say "aboot" when I know darned well I said "about"...

I'm originally from B.C. myself, although I've been gone from there for many moons now... I hear they've become a bit of a "shifty" lot these days...

I was actually referring to a weather pattern when I mentioned "The Alberta Clipper"... which is described here:
http://www.weathernotebook.org/transcripts...2000/02/15.html

So when one sees what kind of "exports" come from Alberta, yeah I'd rather put my trust in British Columbia...

Snuffy.

You know you can use OS9.1 so long as you have the OpenGL extensions from 9.2.2 and the ATI Drivers from July that I mentioned. That's what I have and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it.

You'll definitely see a big difference when you get that 32 MB card going!

Just caught this thread before it sailed off into the wild blue Archives.

The 7000 is in and functioning thanks in a large part to your help and advice.

I'm running mostly 9.2.2 now, with a couple of 9.1 extensions and I replaced the 9.2.2 "System" with the 9.2.1 so I could copy it to different hard drives.  "Plug and Play"...yeah, right.

The only problem I can find is the System Profiler quits when I try to open the Devices and Volumes section. I hardly ever look there anyway.

I need a "YIPPEE!" smilie.

P.S. I know it's "INIT", but "INUIT" keeps replacing it in my head...It's an indian thing.
