I think finally I am ready to put a page or two onto the net, so I must find a Mac friendly web host. I registered www.jcarter.net for 3 years for $30 and have it "parked"
3 important things to me:
1. Mac friendly
2. Beginner friendly
3. Phone tech support
Google found www.itsamac.com and I talked with them, they seem to fit all my three 'needs'! $150 a year, a bit more expensive, but 'you get what you pay for'. This is going to be fun! This beginner finally is getting off the ground, and you people are a wonderful help to me. I read thru your instructions and topics daily.

Jane, another ISP that meets your requirements is Dogbark.com http://www.dogbark.com/ You can actually get to know the names of the folks there, and the service is first-rate. I just received a postcard from them reminding me that a couple of my domain names are coming up for renewal, and Dogbark doesn't even host those domains. Nice!

I'll second that vote for Dogbark. Very Mac-friendly, easy to work with, clever and they have been completely reliable for me.

Thank you! They look perfect, just what I'm looking for. Even my dog, (who has her own www.pbase.com page), would approve. I will check them out tomorrow.
