While I haven't gotten to downloading the beta on this machine (and it did turn up in Software Update last night on the Powerbook, but didn't have time to install) I have been using Safari almost exclusively for quite a while now. I still have to fire up IE on the odd page that doesn't work in Safari, but also have Camino, which is also very good, Mozilla, Omniweb...the nice thing about X is there is no shortage of good browsers!

My absolute favorite feature of Safari is that little Google search window on the menu bar - I use it all the time and find myself irritated at its absence in IE, when I go back to it for any reason. Horrors - I have to actually click on something to change the window I'm in (google lives in IE's toolbar favorites on my machines)    Is that the height of laziness or what? ...it's always the little things!

No, Paddy that's just the height of laziness...

IAW you.

That reset business:

So says Story.
I've long since deactivated the cache.
Maybe that's why I don't see it.

Harv, on the "beta" business, I couldn't resist a weblog link to Bill Palmer.
I don't think he's a giraffe.

Nick, Thanks for the counsel. I'll DL Safari this week and give it a go!

Problems Problems Problems. Safari now really hates some DHTML and javascript. In fact some of my long standing bookmarks won't show their drop down navigation at all. I'm sticking with v60.

What I don't like is the bookmarks menu.
I'd prefer to have the ordinary menu like it is in IE, Netscape, etc. (probably any other browser).
I find it rather uncomfortable to have to use the show-all-bookmarks menu item or to have to place all my favorites folders in the bookmarks bar.

Another rather strange 'feature' (or bug?) is that you can close all tabs so that you have to open a new tab via File menu to continue (when you have selected the always-show-tabbar option).
I find that rather senseless.
