About the new board software

In my member settings, I have two items that I am wondering what they are for or if they will be of service one day.

These two items are:
  • Purchase Paid Subscriptions
  • Manage Your Attachments
What are Paid Subscriptions?

And will members here be allowed to upload attachments in their posts and PMs?

Just wondering...   smile.gif

OK, MHC.  Here's one.  My avatar was chosen from then board gallery.  I'd like to get it back but can't find the gallery.   How to get there???

Peter, as I reported in another thread, to get a new avatar, click on the My Controls link at the top of the page. Then, if I remember correctly, you have to click "Board Settings" from the list on the left. You will find Avatar settings listed on that page. There are only a few to choose from, three different pages which you access from a pull-down box.

One avatar is a Dolphin, by the way.... Roy?

New question:
Is there a visual clue on the topics page indicating which threads I have posted in? If there is, I am missing it. If there's not, maybe that can be an added enhancement later.

MHC , we are running with the default settings. Some of these things will most likely be removed since we don't offer anything that costs money and we don't have space to give each member 50MBs of server space. So expect changes as the days go by.

Peter to clarify: Go to your control panel, Personal Profile/Edit Avatar settings and you have three galleries to chose from...not the greatest but something. Hope somewhere down the line to add more.


Gregg, if you look closely at the blue or red folder to the far left of each thread listing, there is a small white corner on the lower right edge of the ones where you have previously posted. It's not very obvious so I may alter that icon at some point or make another one.

When we get new skins up you may find them more suitable.

Each time I log in, I get the following notice:

This happens both with Safari 1.3.2 and Firefox 1.5 (on 10.3.9)

is this a problem with the board or my setup?

The "Mark all forums as read" option is in a drop down menu in Forum Options (top right).

Harv, it was in the Options drop down menu in the original skin we were using, but with the advent of the new skins it seems to have been replaced with a different menu altogether.  I miss it, too.

Maybe it's a skin by skin thing, but I see it in the drop down menu. I'm using the "GoldenWine" skin.

Kimmer, I was using the TS skin, but having changed to the Golden Wine, these are the only options I have in the drop down menu ....

Edited to say:  I closed down TS as well as Firefox and upon restart, I now have the options that allow marking the forum as read.  Using the old noodle helps, sometimes.  smile.gif
