Yup
Kelly... it's getting up there... urban sprawl and all...
It always picks me a just a bit when they declare that Canada's major cities are Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver... counting in millions yes... but there more with 700,000 and over.
Now
me... If I were a rich (wo)man... I'd live in an absolutely marvelous part of Calgary that is a a success story of urban renewal... it's called Kensington but strictly it's part of the Hillhurst/Sunnyside neighbourhoods. It is my idea of perfection... everything you need on a daily basis within walking distanct... a small Safeway, pharmacy, all kinds of little shops... used book stores, florist you name it AND you can even walk your little pooch and so long as he's housebroken he's welcome to come into the stores on a leash that don't deal with food... friendly people... and it's all central to the LRT lines so you can get around easily... except to those sprawling urban areas... but then who cares... I can get to the people I need to see. But don't even think of it if you don't have at least $500,000 to plunk down on a townhouse...
