Virtual PC 3.0 and OS 9.2.2
« on: June 10, 2006, 08:38:32 AM »
Recently had to reinstall OS9.2.2 on the G3 iMac, and Virtual PC (v3.x with Windows 98SE) stopped working. I've just run the installer and, after going through the set-up routine, it launches with a DOS-type message saying "Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and press any key when ready".
I don't know much about the PC side of things so I'm not even sure what "system disk" it's talking about. If it's the install disk it IS the original Connectix CD I'm installing from. Should I dump off the old application before running install again?

Any help gratefully received.
Neil

3. Click the "Restart" button. Ignore the "Non-System disk or disk error Replace and press any key when ready".

Sorted! Because I was on full screen with VPC the only thing I could do was hit return, which just repeated the message. Once I hit Apple-M to reduce the screen I was able to see the Eject and Restart buttons... doh.gif

VPC is now up and running. Thanks
