Remember that the board software, upon seeing an URL all by itself, will think you are linking people to a webpage. Board software isn't too smart, so you have to tell it you want to show an image, not a link to a webpage. Hence, the image tag i.e. [ img ]Image-URL-Here[/ img ].

We have lots of hummingbirds here is southern California. They are very aggressive, as someone mentioned earlier, and it is interesting to see them claim their territory.

They are attracted to red and we have a lot of red bougainvilllia, as well as other red flowers and they are always on our back patio. We do not even have a feeder and they come to take the nectar from the flowers.

The funniest site is to see one of those small birds sitting on the fence - they are almost invisible, they are so small.

I suppose that some of the interactions I was seeing was aggressive behavior; I'm sure they weren't passively taking turns at the feeders. I know they are animals and not supernatural creatures but they border on the miraculous to me!

Wonderful pictures and links!
We have a few hummers here in Southern New England, but not as many as our relatives in New Hampshire. We just have one kind, the Ruby Throated's.
Not more than 4 ever here in our yard, and we sure have plenty of flowers, so when they are here, they have lots of food.

Most we ever saw at any time, was in the mountains in Costa Rica. There were hundreds, but I sure cant seem to photo them at all. But that was before I had a digital camera.
