If you're plagued with reflections (shooting through a window) and glare, and your lens will accept filters, a polarizing filter would help a lot.

D76:   Your pix are very nice.  I have no doubt a filter would help.  About the only time I ever shoot thru the window is when these hummers show up in such numbers that I just cant stand to just watch them without trying to get that one shot.  I would really like to get a few shots with the brilliant colors but the sun has to refelct just rite and they just WILL NOT  stand still and begging does not seem to help.

A polarizing filter does wonders for sky colour too! Skies always look livelier with that filter. To me a polarizer is a must and I have it on 99.9% of the time except when I need all the light I can get for a shot due to darkness or on cloudy days.

Sorry, George, but that image is just on your computer. It needs to be moved to someplace on the internet. Your ISP probably 'gives' you some space on their server. Just look at their Help section to see how to access it.

ABD, for the last couple of days I've been getting a few very late emails informing me of various posts made the day before. Just got one a minute ago referring to this thread, telling me of MacHeadCase's post of yesterday, that starts: "A polarizing filter does wonders. . . ."

FWIW.

Thinking.gif Not sure, but it may have something to do with Jennies work on the update on the Security side of the board software. It also may be that one of those interweb tubes has been getting stopped up near your house! Try command-shift-delete-tab ( with one hand! ) and see if that helps. You may also want to unsubscribe to all topics and then re-subscribe to some of them.

Wonderful hummingbird pictures!   Ive never gotten a good picture of the little guys yet, I sure need to practise.
Yesterday, out in our flower garden, one almost flew into my ear!  I think he saw his reflection in my glasses and went straight for my face, I ducked, and when he figured out what the heck I was, he sure flew away fast!
My husband was laughing,,,,,,,,
"Hummingbird dive-bombs bespecticled Grandma in garden!"
