Who – now and then – crafts a quick rhyme
When someone hereabouts faces Birthday Time.

But, suppose I don’t live-up-to Kimmer’s fond wish
Will I find – in my paper – a quite dead fish,
For failing to meet the Rhymer’s Code
With Doggerel or Limericks, or even an Ode?

Yet there she sits . . . midst her forest of green
Counting CA equi-ty, what could be more keen?
Knit one, purl two . . .
