Internet Explorer/Mail & News settings
« on: October 14, 2006, 08:58:00 AM »
I use Mac system 9.2, Internet Explorer 5.1 and Outlook Express for email. In the browser window there is a mail icon. When I click it I get "Internet Config error...please check mail and news settings." instead of it going directly to my email. Is "Internet Explorer Prefs" the item that I need to edit, and if yes, what is the corresponding document that it has to match? May I add, that when I click Outlook Express, it goes to my email with no problem. Thanks, if anyone knows how to solve this.

I remember it worked for me, but always bugged me because it wasn't all that useful smile.gif

I think what you have to do is goto Internet Config (I think it's in the applications folder), to set your default email application to Outlook Express. You may also have to make sure that your default email address is filled in as well.
