I came across this Bob LeVitus article on how to score free stuff, including fonts, clip art, audio files, games and more. A couple of his links are obvious, such as MacUpdate and VersionTracker, but he explains how to filter out everything that isn't free on those two sites.

Just wasted spent the last hour surveying many of his links. However, I still didn't find the 'free' music for one of the songs listed at freeitunessongs ( it took a while to even get to the real site! ). Are these free songs only available for a few days/hours/etc. I keep getting emails from Apple touting the latest available albums and they used to mention the free ones specifically. They don't seem to do that anymore. Oh well, at least i didn't spend any of my valuable weekday time! smile.gif

They still offer the freebies, but you're not missing much.

Maybe one in eight or ten is worth listening to more than once.

Amazon has quite a lot of free stuff - some of it quite good. The only problem is that they seem to have removed the ability to actually browse for it - you can search, but there is no master list like there used to be. sad.gif

Another source of free stuff - and/or new and unknown bands is Independent Artists:

Another neat source - an audio blog featured in the Boston Globe back in August:

http://rbally.net/

He posted a wonderful Specials concert from 1980 that I snagged a while back. smile.gif But now I read that he's packing it in because he's too busy to keep the site going...sad.gif  - so visit while you still can!

Never mind. It's Sunday, so cut yourself a piece of rug.

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.
