OT & way, way out there
« on: December 02, 2006, 10:56:15 AM »
Cartoonist Scott Adams (Dilbert), amongst others, has been talking about this strange idea:

http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/the_dilbert...gates_for_.html

QUOTE
For my president I want a mixture of Mother Teresa, Carl Sagan, Warren Buffet, and Darth Vader. Bill has all of their good stuff. His foundation will save more lives than Mother Teresa ever did. He’s got the Carl Sagan intelligence and rational mind. He’s a hugely successful businessman. And I have every reason to believe he can choke people just by concentrating in their general direction. You can’t tell me that wouldn’t be useful at a summit.

Funny and scary at the same time!   eek2.gif

I loved this comment on Scott Adams idea:

QUOTE
Peter principle: "Employees within an organization will advance to their highest level of competence and then be promoted to and remain at a level at which they are incompetent".

You are saying that Gates has shown competence, and now you are going to promote him, aren't you?

I'd much rather have Steve Jobs for president thank you!! I can see his meetings with foreign dignitaries... they'd all be sitting there waiting for him to say "and one more thing"...

(And would black turtlenecks and jeans become acceptable presidential attire?) toothgrin.gif

I thought this comment was pretty funny:

QUOTE
Second – and this is the most disturbing part – I noticed on the www.BillGatesfor President.net web site that Bill is starting to look like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons. (See his picture with Queen Elizabeth.) That’s only going to get worse. But I’m willing to overlook it.

He'd be unelectable. The Dems — I assume — would have a field day with his mug shot and record.

He already runs this country...and more.   angry.gif
