But the map doesn't differientiate between old dark matter and fresh new dark matter; and as everyone knows it's very, very difficult to get fresh dark matter when you need it!   smile.gif

Thanks Sandbox
I still believe the human mind isn't capable of understanding universal truths...yet.
...but then,  i'm just speaking from my less than 99.9 percentile mind.  dry.gif

Shouldn't someone give equal time to light matter?
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

OK..... matter light, less filling, more taste!!  yum.gif

Your welcome snuffy.. I get a lot of this ...... “in search of the lost cord” stuff from my son who dabbles in it. It's really Mama Moose’s specialty, physics that is, gravity needs more weight to make the numbers work so..... they first created the weight as a percentage of the universe and then looked for dark matter and dark energy.

How I get my head around it is by thinking of weight on the end of a string spinning around in a circle. If the weight is tissue paper, for example, it won’t keep the string stretched out or make the circle, so you have to find some extra weight.

Somehow these Brainiacs counted all the weight of Matter in the universe and concluded there was enough to make the universe spin and hold together. By adding weight, even if you can’t see it, the numbers come out right and the universe is right with their brains.

It’s good stuff for those who can think through it and aren’t distracted by a fly in the room. Me, well I’m lost when I run out of fingers and toes. wink.gif
