Question about read and unread messages in Mail
« on: January 30, 2007, 03:18:58 PM »
I have been using Eudora till now, and it has become quirky since the last update.  I imported all my mail into the Mail app, but I do not see in Mail, as I did in Eudora, a separate link for read and unread mail. In Eudora, if I chose to show only unrad mail, only unread mail appeared, but I could access all the unread emails easily, by clicking on All huh.gif  huh.gif .  Do all my emails simply stay on the same screen here????

Question about read and unread messages in Mail

Lemme guess... Most web based e-mail (and MS Outlook) will give you a bold message title for unread mail. Once you've "opened" it, the site (or program) will assume you read it, and the title will no longer be bold.

Did I describe that correctly for Mail? Someone who uses it will be along soon....
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Question about read and unread messages in Mail

Yes, correct.   However, I now have an additional problem.  I tried to send an email and it could placed in my "out" box with a message  that it could not be sent because  Mail does not support encryption.  I installed two certs using the Keychain to my business account only, I thought, but perhaps it's being picked up on my regular account.  Unlike Netscape, which installs a downloaded security cert,  Safari can only install them through Keychain.  So, now how do I send mail????? doh.gif

Sorry, wrong wording. It says Safari doesn't support authentication, not encryption.
