Started work and other news.
« on: January 31, 2007, 07:27:34 AM »
Hi everyone,

Here's some more news but firrrrst.....
I have to appologize cause although I thought I would be online (at TS) more since we have internet now, turns out I didn't came to TS the last week and a half or so... grrrrr. sad.gif

The reason is cause first of all I started a fulltime job, it's not much but I will do this 4 days a week and still search for a better fulltime position in a job that is linked to my profession.
The job is again doing marketing research, calling to companies to ask them a few questions about a certain helpdesk that I won't mention (anless a nice deposit will show up on my PayPall acount).
I do like doing it I must say and it's not hard... but offcourse it doesn't pay that much, but ok to keep me going here in London.

Another news is that I am talking with an Italian person to expand their Italian webzine and start sistersites in the UK, France (and French Belgium) and later on in Dutch (or Flemish Belgium), Germany and maybe Denmark.
The Dutch and German one will be started after the UK and France one, so France and UK is the one we are focusing on now.
The deal so far is that I will create a total new website for their webzine and create a new logo to give them an international face.
After that I will probably go on developping the belgian (dutch) website, meaning doing translations and update the dutch webzine.

When I am able to show more, and probably even after we launched the new website, which will probably contain a new EU domain smile.gif
After that we will double run the Italian website in original form and in new form on the new .eu site.
After that we add the France and UK site, after that we add the dutch, german and maybe danish website.

So next week i'll be going to the Belgian Consulat and check on how to open a business (linked to the UK one), not sure how to do this but i'll have more information next wednesday (these are the days i am not working).

Now I have to go back to work and design a logo, an ID-Banner and the website.

It's a start. Takes alot of "gumption" to make such a bold move.

(Try dictionary.com on that one.) wink.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

  1. initiative; aggressiveness; resourcefulness: With his gumption he'll make a success of himself.
  2. courage; spunk; guts: It takes gumption to quit a high-paying job.
  3. common sense; shrewdness.
Thanks people wink.gif

Good for you!   It is not easy finding work in London and I am impressed with your work ethic - I would employ you!

Keep going.

Thordale might be a bit of a commute, Marcel! wink.gif

We should go and look at that site that we had here long ago, that Airbusdriver set up, we could see our positions and pictures on GE.
Could you give us that link again? If it still is in existance.
It was fun, my classmates and I point out our locations, and now that GE has really upgraded their resolution, its fun.  Yeah, look for our cars in our driveways! And we are not city.
Google Earth is amazing, but addictive, watch out for wasting a lot of time.

Actually, that's an idea.
Cause I added my address in Belgium on it so I should change it.
Maybe someone should post a direct link on the TS page somewhere, and I don't mean inside a forum topic smile.gif

I checked about Thordale on ViaMichelin but I found alot of Thordales ohmy.gif

Great, just today I got an email from XLRecruitment Agency saying they are looking for an Account Manager in Packaging... in Germany wacko.gif
Any reason why I would that.
