OT - What are you listening to at the moment?
« on: February 01, 2007, 12:35:00 PM »
It's not a new topic, but as Highmac (Neil) said before, no apologies  for starting it up again smile.gif

Personally it's

1) The Good The Bad and the Queen.  This could well end up being my album of the year.  Damon Albarn has come a long way from his "Mockney" days with Blur.

2) The View.  OK, so they come from Dundee.  Well we all have our cross to bear wink.gif

Today I have been listening mostly to my own voice. I'm going through the training texts in iListen. Wish me luck on the final outcome!

Might not be your cup of tea, but if you have Freeview, the BBC is running a loop of a Norah Jones concert on channel 301 - the "red button" channel - from a Radio 2 show she did recently. Nice gentle late-night listen... These R2 loops are usually 30 minutes, repeated for several days! Er... don't ask me why, though!

...snow melting on the roof, I can hear the drips in the downspouts. Also, Sweety ( our cat ), is having an audible dream ( chasing a mouse, no doubt)!

If all that that you can hear from your cat you are lucky.

At  4.30 - 5.00 am it's 2 or 3 cats making it very obvious that they want fed and than let out.

Unfortunately we can't fit a cat flap  sad.gif

Right now I am listening to a radio talk show on my computer, but usually just listen to my favorite music on iTunes - classical or easy listening.

Egmont by Beethoven - played it last night at Orchestra, had no idea what we were doing, I seemed to get to the end at the same time as everyone else give or take, sounded pretty painful so downloaded off Emusic and listening to it.  Very nice.  I like a bit of Beethoven!

I might even practice it!  Stranger things have happened.

A "really" rotten live recording of Pink Floyd; I've got to remember I don't like that recording and deep six it!

New Grass Revival? [now split up, but John Cowan and Sam Bush have some great tunes out]

Nickel Creek?

Rob Ickes?

Tony Rice?

[my younger brother is quite the Bluegrass Maven, and periodically hosts a Bluegrass radio show on KAOS, which is available streamed on the 'net]
