Bob, please read this topic, if you haven't ("kernal panic")
http://www.techsurvivors.net/forums/index....showtopic=15425

My question for you is: How hard is it to get an appointment at a Genius Bar?

With several stores up there, and only a slightly higher population than here, I imagine the supply fits the demand a little better. ....unless there is a much higher percentage of Mac users in the area.

I'd PM this, but I thought others might benefit from the discussion, or wish to chime in about their area for general knowledge sake.

Thanks!

Gregg,

I've been keeping up with your thread....

I have experience only with the MoA Apple store.... and as an Apple ProCare customer....
That being said, I have never had a problem making an appointment, either by phone or 'in-store' through the on-line method. And don't think I've ever encountered the 'all booked up' type messages, that I recall.

And, I think, the longest I've had to wait was about 25-30 min.  They seem to have a pretty good supply of 'geni' to help.  Now that they've separated the iPod geni form the computer geni toothgrin.gif

My experience(s) are mainly with my G5 iMac, it's power supply and MB... PS-3, MB-2.  Had to leave it once for about 2-3 days... 2nd time PS was replaced as I waited, no more than 10-15 minutes.  We did have the keyboard replaced on my wife's iBook... again 10-15 minute wait.

As I initially said, I've no experience with the other 2 Apple stores in the Cities... the MoA one is on the south side of town and VERY handy to get to, for me. whistling.gif

Hope this is what you were looking for...

You nailed it, thanks!

If my son can't get the matter resolved today, he may have to go to a store up there next week.
