TS Trouble (please add any oddities to this thread)
« on: March 31, 2007, 08:17:16 PM »
The site has been slow tonight. Ok, much slower than usual. Compared to most others, I'm always slow. I gave up and tried again twice. Have there been problems today?

No, not you.  There's a slow down.
Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

I get failures of pages to load after I add a reply!  Must have something to do with the whole final four thing!   smile.gif

I experienced problems yesterday morning and last evening...thought I'd never get on. Glad to see the board is running smoothly now!  biggrin.gif

Yes; it's much better today. What was wierd is that it would work at "normal" speed for awhile, then slow down, each time I logged on yesterday.

Yes, there seems to have been an extensive server problem that affected more than just the speed. I'm highjacking Gregg's post, don't tell him, and hoping that folks will post anything else they find odd, going on, like the reply window not working right or some of the options acting weird.

Thanks hi.gif

Sun, Apr. 8 at 4:30pm pacific time ... the front page loaded and one thread, the rest of the threads I attempted to open returned this:

QUOTE
Safari could not open the page “http://www.techsurvivors.net/forums/index.php?s=8f4557e955439.....blahblah” because the server stopped responding.

Figured you'd want to know. If you want to know which threads, I can give you all the error messages. smile.gif

For the last 4 days I am having to log in every single time I come here, even after deleting cookies and starting again.  sad.gif

I too have had to log in every time I visit. This started at some point last week, after having been continuously signed in for about a year. sad.gif

I've also noticed that the site doesn't "remember" when I last visited (View New Posts isn't accurate anymore).

Ooooops.... doh.gif

Sorry people, but I too had problems with the cookies from TS so I started this topic about it, not realizing you added comments about this on this topic.

After playing with my cookies (on Camino) I think I could have the "member_id" cookie set to expire again on the date TS forum tells it to.
Before that, this cookie and two others (see topic) were constantly set to expire "on quit" and therefor forcing you to log in every time.
