Card Readers?
« on: April 08, 2007, 01:45:58 PM »
We've got the regular USB CF card readers, with the size of the Lexar and the Sandisk and so forth, but one of our kids has a new Sony Cyber-Shot camera, DSC-S500 and it has a tiny little card.  Its called a 'memory stick' I think.
So we had to view all their Puerto Rico vacation pictures on the camera screen, not the Mac.
Is the easiest and quickest way to solve this to just go to Wall Mart and get a compatible Sony card reader?  Or a universal card reader?  Would it be compatible with a Tiger Mac?

Thanks,
Jane

Check out some of the suggested readers in this thread. Many of them will read those memory sticks. And it should be just fine with your Tiger Mac.

I got one yesterday, works fine,
its a Digital Concepts USB 2.
And just plugs into my old cable, didnt need the new one.  Just have to switch between the 2 readers.
