Not sure what version of <
Sound Studio> you're using
frances, but there's no need to select, copy, paste. All you do is insert the markers you want, name them as desired, and use the "Split by Markers" menu item. It will create a list of separate files with the names you used for the markers. I always check the "Add numbers to name" function so that will stay sorted as they are in the original file ( the OS always wants to alphabetize those lists, ya know ). And, if you have the newest version ( 3.5 ) you can add all the meta info that iTunes normally uses. Best of all, those added numbers won't show when you add the files to iTunes, they'll simply be used to put them in the numerical order you want ( no more editing the number out of the file name
).
It's not free, but it's extremely stable, well supported and very easy to use ( numerous filters to clean up those recordings ). Saves in about a dozen formats, 20 quality settings for mp3's. Best audio app I have. Well worth the cost, IMHO.
