I'd like to see Jethro Tull live as well but what's stopping me is he's not going to be anywhere I wouldn't have to fly to get to.  I also have hearing that is less than perfect due to loud rock music; I'm blaming the Flying Burrito's!

Well...

Since like millions of others  couldn't get tickets for their show in London..

Led Zeppelin.

And lots of it.  I've had to put the headphones on so that I don't annoy the SWMBO (and the neighbours wink.gif )

Tonight it's been a "Whole Lotta Rock and Roll" so to speak.

Surprisingly enough interspersed with a load of Richard Thompson and The Cure!!!

Just goes to show how strange/weird I and my musical tastes am/are.

"A Rootin' Tootin' Santa Claus" by Tennessee Ernie Ford!  I like to search out Christmas music that is not what is played on every Christmas special.  I found it on this website:

Sandyman: - Led Zeppelin Live Madison Square Garden 1973 - C4 on December 10 (Monday), 23.50; repeated C4+1 (00.50, as you'd expect!) and on More4 on December 12 at 23.50.

Black Mountain Rag (family from Missouri)
Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage in meaningful dialog very long.
Therefore, management asks that you at least humor him. Thanks.

The Traveling (sic) Wilburys. Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty. Five musicians just enjoying themselves. But with music like this I can forgive the American spelling. Or should that be 'speling'? smile.gif

I put on my Wilbury music just because you mentioned it; Orbison's voice was absolutely at it's best on those songs!  If I could carry a tune I'd join in but I'm just whistling.gif instead!

I'm listening to B.O.U.N.C.E internet radio ( http://www.bounceradio.net/ ) right now because it's working "right now" at work.  This station is "owned" or "managed" by a friend of mine and isn't heavily listened to but the DJ working now is FOXXY from England and it's broadening my musical experience.  Some of this stuff is beyond me and reminds me of a quote by Bob Dylan:

"You do the best you can, you fight that technology in all kinds of ways, but I don't know anybody who's made a record that sounds decent in the past twenty years, really. You listen to these modern records, they're atrocious, they have sound all over them. There's no definition of nothing, no vocal, no nothing, just like -- static."  -- from a 2006 Rolling Stone interview.

He's talking about copying but he's got a point about some of the music out there.
