Can you override forced video players?

Roy, if it makes you feel better, I had trouble with it also. Checking the Real Player box gave me the video on the main page. But the other got me nowhere even though I have Flip4Mac installed.

I went and downloaded the lastest version which really screwed things up at first cause then I got a 'forbidden' page from the site.

Now, a couple days later, I went back and checked the WMV. I got the following:

But remembering that the first line on the left was "Open in standalone viewer", I clicked on that white space.

I then got this after several seconds:

So the new Flip4Mac did sort of work, but I had to know where to click on a blanked out page. rolleyes.gif

Dreambird, thanks! That jogged my very poor memory and now I remember ... I downloaded Flip4Mac from MS because I started this thread entitled "viewing WMV in another ap".  oops.gif

Kelly and krissel came to my rescue and I even notice that a certain Grumpy one helped me out. biggrin.gif  whistling.gif
