He has a point about the fact that iTunes has a very large expectation of being a store, player, database, etc. all in one. Maybe Apple will fine tune (no pun intended) the app sometime in the future.
But one thing not mentioned is that the main reason there is an 80G iPod now is not for music but for videos. Frankly I think the idea of carrying every note of music you own with you is kind of silly. I couldn't imagine carrying every book I ever read or intended to read with me (even in digital form), why is it necessary to do that with music?
